How can I add a hanko to the catalogue or find out the maker’s name for the one’s I have that are not listed?
竹治 (チクジ) is not Shikuji, but Takeharu.
This site has good info but there seems to be many other good shauhacki makers not listed. I was surprised that Kitahara is not included. Is there a reason for that?
Thanks,
Henry
I was wrong. Kitahara is shown two times
華水 (かすい) – Kasui
Please add this maker, i also have an image of hanko
Hi, thanks for that info on Kasui. Can you please send your yakiin image, and I will include it in the db. Do you have any other info on Kasui?
Jeff
Hello Jia, sorry for the very late reply. You can add images to the db by sending them directly to me along with any information you might have regarding the maker represented by the image. As for finding names, you have to research that. You can ask me directly or you can query the FB hanko page.
Great hanko database, I’ve been consulting it for years now 🙂
One question/suggestion: is it worthwhile keeping the “Style” category? Because many or most professional makers make both Tozan and Kinko style.
By chance do you know “Yakiin-maker”?
I would like to know:
Thank you!
m.k.
I seem to recall Yozan (or Youzan) 容山 was listed here before, but I no longer see this excellent maker’s hanko.
If i have a hanko that I would like to have identified (which is not already on this site) and I can provide an image is this something that can be done?
